Our story
Hi, I’m Michelle—a design professional with over 20 years of experience in the creative world, based just outside Toronto, Ontario. I’ve honed my skills in graphic design, branding, and marketing, with a passion for stationery that allows me to bring beauty and elegance to every special moment.
In 2012, fueled by a shared passion for creating unforgettable experiences, my best friend Alisha and I co-founded Events by Whim, a wedding planning company rooted in our love for creating beautiful, memorable experiences. While I cherished wedding planning, I found my true passion in stationery, leading me to create RSVP by Whim. This shift allowed me to fully immerse myself in designing stunning, bespoke invitations and paper goods.
Now, with our rebrand to June and Opal Paper Co., the name carries special meaning—June is my birth month and a cherished nickname from my late aunt, while Opal reflects Alisha’s son’s birthstone. This new chapter represents the strong bond we’ve built along this journey.
At June+Opal, my mission is to work closely with each client to create beautifully crafted stationery that brings their visions to life. Every piece is a testament to our dedication to elegance, personalized craftsmanship, and timeless style.
